Fulcro Managing Director to deliver talk at landmark “Beyond BIM” Symposium
On Tuesday 5 March 2019, professionals from across the construction, engineering and architectural industries will descend on Crypt on the Green in Clerkenwell, London for the landmark “Beyond BIM Symposium” to hear discussions, talks and presentations about how it’s crucial to look past the world of BIM.
The “Beyond BIM Symposium” is of benefit to all architects, engineers, fabricators or contractors who are interested in seeing other ways to improve what they do. Current practice in architectural and engineering design involves workflow methods that can have many stages and steps that challenge the efficacy and quality of the design and construction process. Unnecessary costs accrue through design collaboration delays and redesign or rework at any stage which challenges the business model of all participants. Events such as the Beyond BIM Symposium provide a crucial opportunity for issues to be addressed by industry professionals and allow a successfully blueprint for the best way forward to be identified.
Ben Haldin, Managing Director, Fulcro, said: “It’s a privilege to be invited to speak at this prestigious event and outline the positive ways forward that the industry as a whole can take. It’s crucial that we’re always looking to the future and for ways to improve, which is why events such as the Beyond BIM Symposium provide a fantastic platform to discuss and engage about how we want the industry to grow and develop moving forward.
“This is also an exciting opportunity for us to outline and showcase the fantastic work going on at Fulcro and how our expert team are working tirelessly each day to create world-class, innovative products and solutions to benefit the construction industry for years to come.
“My talk will cover what Construction Ready Design is today, and what it could be and what the barriers are to achieving it. I’ll also be railroading through the subject of BIM, and focussing on the issue of Contracts, Procurement and its effect on design and coordination responsibilities. I’m very much looking forward to an interesting and engaging event with lots of lively discussion and debate.”
