Fulcro signs on as beta tester for Unity Reflect - First of Its Kind Product Enables Real-Time BIM Collaboration on Any Device With One Click

Fulcro are delighted to announce that at the Autodesk University Vegas event on 19-21 November 2019, its revolutionary FULmax technology is one of the supported platforms utilising Unity Reflect.

Through Unity Reflect, FULmax is simplifying the process of creating real-time 3D experiences in virtual reality (VR) directly from Autodesk Revit. The FULmax natively supports Unity Reflect so you can stand inside your live project data whilst it is manipulated for real-time review at life-size.  Announced earlier this year by Unity Technologies, Unity Reflect enables Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) professionals to unlock the value of BIM data by putting it directly in the hands of any user and on any device. Unity Reflect makes real-time data visualization and data collaboration possible with a Revit plug-in that exports BIM and CAD data in just one click.

This new capability with support from Unity, will be available to experience first-hand at the Unity booth (AE210) at Autodesk University Las Vegas and further strengthens FULmax’s reputation as a market leader in delivering truly collaborative, interactive and immersive virtual environments for construction projects across the globe.

Dr. Max Mallia-Parfitt, Director of Applied Technologies, Fulcro, said: “This announcement is a huge step forward for the construction industry. By working closely with Unity’s world-class development team, we have been able to deliver a truly innovative and exciting technological advancement that will help drive positive change to construction project teams across the globe.

“At the heart of Unity Reflect is the new capability for our clients to see and interact with their project data, whilst enabling them to see real-time design changes when collaborating with designers. This will not only improve the ability of project teams to identify any issues, but also allow them to cut down costly delays by allowing live edits to be actioned. This is a functionality that has been required by the industry for some time and, alongside Unity, we are delighted to have delivered a world-exclusive software enhancement.

Unity exists to empower the success of the world’s creators with the most accessible and powerful real-time 3D development platform. Unity’s revolutionary tools enable creators from a diverse range of industries to build high-performance, high-fidelity experiences, all in real-time. The company’s technology is used by more than half of the top 50 AEC companies and the top 10 best-selling automotive brands. Learn more about Unity Reflect.“Unity Reflect gives everyone working in the AEC industry the power to see everything in context and quickly make changes, which improves collaboration and reduces costly mistakes,” said Tim McDonough, General Manager of Industrial, Unity Technologies.

“By collaborating with FULmax, we are showcasing how Unity is unlocking the value of BIM data by putting it directly in the hands of any AEC professional to explore design options.”

“At Autodesk University Vegas, we will be demonstrating 4D sequencing, maintenance scheduling and home configuration demonstrations on Unity stand (#AE210), all running live from Unity Reflect,” added Dr. Mallia-Parfitt. “We look forward to welcoming you along and discovering how we’re creating project certainty every single day.”
