Trainee BIM Coordinator

SCOPE OF THE ROLE

Within the Coordinated Design Services [CDS] division you will support the team in:

  • Implementing BIM technology to facilitate project needs
  • Assist in ensuring project specification documents are being followed by project teams
  • Set up and management of the Project Information Model
  • Carry out auditing and clash checking of project models
  • Attend and minute co-ordination and other review meetings as required

In This role you will be given the opportunity to work on some of the most pioneering and progressive construction projects in the UK and beyond.

If successful, the role leads to the possibility to progress as a BIM Coordinator on significant projects and gain the skills needed for future BIM Management opportunities.

KEY FUNCTIONS

  • Implementing and updating BIM standards and other project documents
  • Working with Project teams to ensure the successful delivery of the project
  • Review and analyse 3D models from consultants and contractors
  • Conduct design review and constructability analysis
  • Conduct clash detection exercises using Navisworks Manage/Solibri
  • Audit and review models in Revit/Navisworks/Solibri
  • Management and tracking of design/construction issues
  • Report writing
  • Attend coordination meetings with project team members
  • 3D model quantity extraction / verification
  • 4D Scheduling / Simulation
  • Model authoring
