Three Quays is a ten-storey mixed-use development situated in a prime location on the North bank of the River Thames adjacent to the Tower of London. Mace was appointed on a design and build contract to undertake the main contract works.
The development provides luxury serviced and private apartments and features a William Pye water sculpture over ground floor retail space. It also includes secure underground parking and state-of-the-art security and CCTV.
The scope of works comprised all associated fit out works, mechanical and electrical services and external landscaping and a basement extension to river frontage.
Fulcro was appointed by Mace to update the existing 3D model to the latest approved design information. The design model consisted of a 3D translation of 2D approved 3D information which included generalised systems with approximate quantities, size, shape, location and orientation, coupled to any approved and confirmed systems.
To enable continued benefit from the production of the 3D Detail Design Model in Stage 1, Fulcro assisted in providing resource to aid in adding detail to the construction design model. The model was well suited for estimations as well as construction coordination, pre-assembly and modular options, scheduling, and visualisation. Fulcro also produced elevations to include reflected ceiling plans for each of the residential apartments.
