Construction Industry Solutions Ltd (Coins) recently announced the 2016 COINS Construction Industry Grand Challenge (CCIGC), a prestigious global competition to find innovators, entrepreneurs and leaders with inspiring ideas that can improve the built environment and society as a whole.
The COINS Construction Industry Grand Challenge (CCIGC) consists of two competitions, Undergraduate and Open, each with three challenges. Working with leading construction companies, private investors, venture capitalists and academia, the COINS Construction Industry Grand Challenge provides an opportunity for people to present their ideas to leaders in the industry, win valuable prizes and potentially gain funding and support to pursue their ideas.
COINS Construction Industry Grand Challenge 2015 winner, Hermione Crease, Co-founder of PurrMetrix, said, “The Grand Challenge was a great opportunity for us to meet industry experts and potential customers and test out our ideas with them. Winning has been a real boost for our credibility.”
For the second year running Ben Haldin, Fulcro’s Managing Director will be joining an international panel of industry experts and entrepreneurs to judge the competition.
"Last year’s entrants were inspirational, their innovative and exciting concepts and approaches could have a big impact on the construction industry. Ideas to improve efficiencies, costs and cash flow and to raise standards in sustainability and quality.
"We’re really looking forward to meeting this year’s entrants where I’m sure the standard will be equally as high. This is their chance to showcase their big idea and possibly see their concept developed further.” Ben Haldin, Managing Director, Fulcro Engineering
