When trainee Sam Wiggins joined Fulcro a year and a half ago he brought his passion for table tennis along with him. Sam has been a regular at Lillington Table Tennis club since he was 15 years old, over six years ago. He is now in the first team in the top local division and helps out at the club every weekend.
The club wanted to enter the Senior British League, the top league in the country, but was short on funds so Sam approached Fulcro. The company was more than happy to support the club, which does so much with the local community. It is run by dedicated volunteers and committed coaching staff, and caters for all abilities and ages. They take great pride in providing a friendly, family atmosphere where they strive to improve all their players.
“We are delighted that Bidford-on-Avon based engineering company, Fulcro, have partnered with us for the 2016/17 season by sponsoring our Senior SBL side. Fulcro's kind contribution has enabled us to cover the costs of the team entry and team shirts”. Lillington Table Tennis Club.
On the 13th September Sam Wiggins along with Timmy Cooper (SBL team player) presented Fulcro’s Neil Nickless with a team shirt complete with the Fulcro logo and signed by club president and England’s no 1. ranked lady, Kelly Sibley (Team GB 2012). The shirt will be treasured!
The teams have played their first round of matches, winning two and loosing two, but only just! Fulcro will be following the progress of all the teams throughout the season with great anticipation and will post regular updates. We wish them all lots of luck.
Note: Table Tennis England's Senior British League is the flagship team tournament in the UK. The Senior British League competition attracts a large number of clubs and players from all over the country. Teams are placed in a structure comprising a Premier and Championship division plus National A, B and C divisions.
